Kobo Products, Inc. is seeking proactive and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to join our team for our location in South Plainfield, NJ. This role requires collaboration with multiple departments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.
Job Requirements: - Must be able to work a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule.
- Associates degree preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in Production coordination, Warehousing, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of cGMP, cGDP, and safety regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities Include: - Enter and manage K3 production batch tickets, coordinating with Production, Planning, and/or Warehouse teams to prepare and inspect materials as required.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse and Navision implementation team to oversee warehouse clean up and system upgrades, including new SOPs to follow.
- Oversee K3’s physical and online databases, ensuring the availability of items for shipment and verifying inventory records.
- Manage pick lists and material transfer orders to ensure the smooth flow of finished products, working with Warehouse and Production teams to confirm item locations in K3.
- Work closely with various departments, including Production, Warehouse, QC, and K1 Production, to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize the Production schedule to create batch tickets, establish lock-in schedules, and manage raw materials and solutions required for production.
- Generate and process batch tickets for lot combos and name change requests, ensuring accurate and timely ticket creation and updates.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, and Warehouse teams to prepare and inspect materials as needed, including updating repack schedules and confirming completion dates with Production.
- Assist with R&D-XP batch ticket entries into the database.
- Adhere to cGMP and cGDP guidelines to ensure accurate documentation.
- Serve as a backup for hazardous waste disposal scheduling.
- Follow all safety policies ensuring a safe working environment.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated staff scientist to join our R&D team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge cosmetic solutions.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Material Science, or a related field.
- Proficient in analytical techniques including FTIR, UV/Vis, GC, particle size analysis, and wet chemistry, with strong expertise in literature research.
- Expertise in method development, validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of analytical methods.
- Exceptional technical writing and communication skills, able to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with cosmetic raw materials and a strong understanding of industry-specific applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to achieve company goals.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO, GMP, and FDA guidelines for cosmetics, is highly desirable.
Responsibilities Include: - Conduct thorough analysis of samples to determine the identity and quantity of components. Support troubleshooting efforts within R&D and QC departments.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for both new and existing products or processes, particularly in collaboration with the QC department.
- Utilize and maintain analytical instruments such as UV/Vis, GC, FTIR, and other related equipment, ensuring proper calibration and upkeep.
- Analyze test results, interpret data, and draw accurate conclusions to guide the development process.
- Prepare detailed reports that include experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in compliance with company standards.
- Lead scientific research projects to drive product innovation and improvements.
- Develop technical documentation, manage new product releases, and offer technical service and support to both internal teams and external customers, including during customer visits.
- Lead and mentor lab personnel, fostering a safe and efficient working environment while promoting continuous improvement in R&D labs.
- Work closely with QC, R&D, and Production teams to ensure seamless product development and analysis.

Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, or Biology required
- Strong experience working with colors required
- 5+ yrs. experience in formulating color cosmetics including lipsticks, foundation, pressed and loose powder; knowledge of skin care, sun care, and hair care products is a plus.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and safety required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication/presentation and multi-tasking skills required
- Excellent computer skills required
- Experience overseeing direct reports required
- Some domestic and international travel required to support tradeshows and customer visits (post ending of COVID safety restrictions)
Responsibilities Include: - Help to develop new raw materials for unique products
- Train and assist technicians, chemists, and temporary personnel on formulating cosmetic products including all colored cosmetics, hair care, sun care and personal care as necessary.
