NJ cosmetics and personal care raw material manufacturer is seeking a self-motivated and organized Sales Account Manager that will work with new and existing customers in the Northeast region concentrating on New Jersey.
Job Requirements: - Bachelor's of Science, with degree in Chemical Engineering preferred
- 5+ years' experience in the personal care products industry preferred
- Proven experience in sales or formulations, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Must be flexible to travel both domestically and internationally as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Must have valid driver’s license
Responsibilities Include: - Managing existing business and acquire new business within the Northeast, particularly New Jersey
- Travel visiting customers to discuss and assist with formulas, customer projects, and company products
- Maintain solid business relationships with clients and participate in industry events such as trade shows
- Serve as the liaison between customers and various company departments
- Communicate regularly with customers and suppliers

Job Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, or Biology required
- Strong experience working with colors required
- 5+ yrs. experience in formulating color cosmetics including lipsticks, foundation, pressed and loose powder; knowledge of skin care, sun care, and hair care products is a plus.
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and safety required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication/presentation and multi-tasking skills required
- Excellent computer skills required
- Experience overseeing direct reports required
- Some domestic and international travel required to support tradeshows and customer visits (post ending of COVID safety restrictions)
Responsibilities Include: - Help to develop new raw materials for unique products
- Train and assist technicians, chemists, and temporary personnel on formulating cosmetic products including all colored cosmetics, hair care, sun care and personal care as necessary.

Kobo Products, Inc. located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a motivated QC Lab Technician to join our team. Willing to train candidates with limited work experience, but strong laboratory experience in an educational setting.
Job Requirements: - BS in Chemistry / Biological Sciences / Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 1-2 years working experience a plus (recent college graduates will receive on-site training)
- Strong color experience is a plus
- Must have the ability to multi-task and work with others in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work independently, prioritizing the work load
- Must have strong problem solving, communication, organizational, math, and computer skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools required, experience using Excel is a plus
- Background working with powders/dispersions in the personal care, pharma, or similar industry is preferred
- Exposure to GC and Ion Chromatography is a plus
- Must be able to lift at least ~25lbs.
Responsibilities Include: - Performing various wet, physical, and instrumental testing to monitor physical and chemical characteristics of pigment powders
- Measuring and evaluating color matches to standards
- Adhering to lab methods, SOP procedures, and documenting results of testing procedures in accordance with GMP standards and FDA regulations
- Interacting with QA/RD to make sure all non-conforming results are investigated
