Job Requirements: - Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Bioscience, or Biology required
- 5+ yrs. experience in formulating skin, sun, and hair care products including: sunscreens, lotions, shampoos, and conditioners; knowledge of formulations of lipsticks, foundations, pressed powders, and nail enamel is a plus
- Knowledge of cosmetic regulations and safety required
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication/presentation and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Some domestic and international travel required to support tradeshows and customer visits (post ending of COVID safety restrictions)
Job Responsibilities: - Help to develop new raw materials for unique products
- Train and assist technicians, chemists, and temporary personnel on formulating cosmetic products including all colored cosmetics, hair care, sun care and personal care as necessary

Chemical Operator - 2nd Shift

Kobo Products, Inc. located in S. Plainfield, NJ is seeking an experienced and energetic professional to join our team as a Chemical Operator on our 2nd shift (2pm-10pm).
COVID Safety Requirement: Job Requirements: - Minimum of 5-7 years batch making and operating experience with process milling equipment.
- Background working with powders and/or dispersions in the cosmetic and/or personal care industry preferred.
- Forklift experience required
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- Operators are required to wear proper PPE – including, but not limited to, respirators. All operators must successfully pass a Pulmonary Function test through our preferred healthcare provider.
Responsibilities Include: - Batch making and operation of process milling equipment.
- Run powder treatment equipment and work with surface treated pigments in the personal care industry.
- Follow batch tickets and document results as required.
- Follow all cGMP and departmental procedures.
- Safely operate a forklift.

We are seeking applicants flexible to work on any shift (1st 6am-2pm, 2nd 2pm-10pm, 3rd 10pm-6am – Monday-Friday).

- Experience running hi speed mixing equipment.
- Experience with media mills and others.
- Experience using transfer pumps and scales.
- Experience working w/ HAZ materials preferred.
- All candidates should have previous exposure to GMP and must be able to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Repacking of raw materials and general warehouse duties.
- Must be able to operate a forklift and have experience with material handling equipment.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
